Vittorio Emanuele II Monument
The Vittorio Emanuele II monument sits in the Piazza Venezia. Often derisively called the “Wedding Cake”, it is considered by many to be overdone and out of place in Rome. To my mind it’s a large, ornamental piece of marble and, therefore, fits right in.
